Halcyon combines the exhilaration of traditional sailing and the style of the 1920's epoch, with the luxury and indulgence of the modern charter yacht.
Halcyon is a beautiful classic yacht, built in 1929 for a leading industrialist of the time as his luxury pleasure craft. This traditional 80 foot (95ft with bowsprit) Bermudan Ketch is constructed of teak planks on oak frames with a Burma Teak interior with a full specification that melds traditional craftsmanship with modern technology.
She has recently completed a total refurbishment to compliment the 1920's opulence with facilities that are expected by today's charter guest. They include modern heating, plentiful showers and toilets, up-to-date navigation and entertainment electronics, capacious fridges and freezers, and many more to ensure our guests enjoy a comprehensive suite of contemporary luxuries. However, these acknowledgements to the requirements of today's guest, which may differ from those of the 1920's, have been seamlessly incorporated into the design and fabric of the yacht so that the unique and exceptional atmosphere of being onboard such a classic yacht is not affected.
This is replicated on deck where guests, whether on a residential holiday or on a corporate or pleasure day-sail basis, can partake in the sailing of this traditional yacht which still uses the wooden block & tackle of a bygone nautical era. The decision of how much physical effort you wish to put in is left entirely up to you - lying back and taking in the fantastic views of the yacht's varied itinerary around Northern European waters is also part of the total experience! Halcyon is also equipped with her original traditional clinker sailing dinghy and a modern jet-propelled fast RIB. |

Halcyon sails with a fully qualified and experienced skipper, mate, hostess and gourmet chef, and they are all dedicated to ensure that your visit on this luxury classic yacht surpasses your finest expectations.
Halcyon is available for up to 8 residential guests in 4 superbly appointed cabins, joining the yacht at several points along its fascinating voyage itinerary; or up to 11 guests on a day-sail basis out of carefully selected harbours.
